We are pleased to announce that our office relocation proposal for a major Sheffield based recruitment company has been accepted.

The proposal to move the head office IT systems of this very successful recruitment agency was rigorously thought out and plans put forward early this week. Head office is the central hub for five other UK wide remote offices. The planned move has been scheduled for the close of business at 5:30pm on the 6th June. Sheffield Bid For Green Bank Energy Saving Headquarters

Yorkshire could see its second industrial revolution in 200 years if Sheffield’s bid to become the countries “UK’s Green Bank Headquarters” becomes a reality.

“The Green Bank” fund will see the government lending an initial £3bn of tax payers’ money to businesses that specialise in the energy saving sector. The money will be used to develop better techniques and stimulate the focus on a “greener” UK.

With 39 locations across the country are increasing their efforts to be home of the UK’s Green Bank Headquarters things are “warming up” so to speak.

Sheffield has no doubt taken advantage of its “Centre for Energy, Environment and Sustainability (CEES)”. The University based worldwide research and education hub, have already developed and utilised concepts of the low carbon model that is being strived for.

What does this mean for Yorkshire businesses?

Short term, if the bid is won, it will no doubt heighten the profile of Yorkshire once again as an innovator, pushing technology forward as those early entrepreneurs did and bring more business to the region.

Long term, if the innovations are as revolutionary as previous efforts, Yorkshire could change techniques the world over….again!
